To Moo Or Not To Moo

I saw this book at Wal-Mart and unsuredly instantly translated the title as "Do you speak Moo?" which cracked me up laughing.

I searched aLL over the store for several minutes, maybe 30, trying to find a Mexican person to help me, but I was surprised to not be able to find anyone who could speak Spanish.

Reese's Fleeces

This packaging looks deceptive. The 4 pack has "King Size" on it, versus the 2 pack, BUT the individual peanut butter cup is smaller!!!!!

2.8 oz for the 4 pack versus 3.0 oz for two of the smaller packages (1.5 x 2), or 6.67% less product.

Every slice of Starbucks pumpkin loaf secretly wishes it were a jet aeroplane.

Before And Or After

I was going to fix this sign at the community center but then I realized it would be a violation of the message.

Resistance Is Few Tiles

I realized the OHML control settings for this fan stand for Off High Medium and Low, but the elec-tricky part of me sees the word 'ohm' and wonders what an 'ohml' would be.

Lost? No, "Found"

Somehow an eXtra bottle of BBQ sauce wound up at the diner. It is not my bottle of Head Country brand in an old Shure-Fine bottle. No one at the diner knows who it belongs to. We are thinking about putting its picture on a milk carton, but Found instead of Lost.

Pull Up

These are pictures of the doorway of my favorite local diner. The door opening mechanism failed, but only halfway. It works if you pull up but not if you push down. So they put a sign on the door rather than fixing the door knob thingy and I enjoyed it even if it is difficult to open the door even when you pull up.

The sign that is closer to the knob is the original sign and it started off being rectangular. BUT when the sign itself started to wear out it wasn't replaced, they put up another sign higher up with red ink, with more detailed instructions. The owner told me that people don't notice the red lettered instructions. They blend in well with the other decor.

Pull up !!!

The Raccoon of Jesus

My friend Jesus got an interesting surprise when he took the garbage to the dumpster at the diner. A raccoon jumped out of the dumpster and went a few feet down the alley and into his hideaway between a fence and building.

Infinite Gorillas

I noticed that the original packaging for this product LOOKS like there is a gorilla holding the package, notice the 4 fingers just above the left middle side of the package, just left of the large word "GORILLA".

So I decided to improve the package appearance by taking a picture of the original packaging and THEN ...

STEP ONE: Insert the image shrunk down 7 percent of original size so it looks like the gorilla on the bottle of glue is holding a package of Gorilla Glue. End of STEP ONE

STEP TWO: Then I took the modified picture of STEP ONE and shrunk it down 7 percent and inserted it back into the picture of STEP ONE. Along the way I very carefully trimmed the finger region so that it would look a little more natural. I also inserted a black line at the bottom and left of the inserted image to give it just a hint of a shadow.

A Bridge Over Shadowed Snow

I shot these two photos of snow in the shadows of a bridge. The foot bridge at Huber Park nearby runs east and west, so the sunlight burned off some of the snow leaving very interesting patterns.

You can even see the effect of the vertical posts of the south (left) side of the bridge where it makes some of the snow patches be slightly longer. Look at the 3rd and 11th patches of snow; they are a little bit longer to the left. If you look carefully farther down the bridge you can even see the effect of the neXt vertical post.

Coordinates of Bridge: 35°39'15.20" N 101°23'51.97" W
